Aldun Junior Pifer died in Palm Desert, California on March 8, 2004. He was 
born south of Madison Center on May 6, 1926. He served in the US Navy in World 
War II.  He retired from Citizens Gas Fuel Company.  He also served as Adrian 
City Commissioner and Mayor of Adrian.

Survivors include a daughter and her mother, two grandchildren, three great-
grandchildren, five sisters and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in 
death by his parents and four siblings.

Graveside services will be on Saturday morning at Zion Cemetery in Ogden 
Township.  A full military service will be held at the Adrian VFW Post. A 
service followed by a luncheon at the Adrian Salvation Army will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the Church of the 
Brethren.
