Carl A. Piotter
BLISSFIELD — Carl A. Piotter, 67, of Blissfield, passed away Saturday, Jan. 2,
1999 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania.
He was born on April 18, 1931 in Blissfield, the son of Paul and Madeline
(VanNeste) Piotter. He was married on May 26, 1956 to Carolyn Edwards. He
graduated from Blissfield High School in 1950, and served in the U.S. Marine
Corps from 1952 to 1954. He worked as a welder at the Jeep plant in Toledo. He
was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blissfield and of the
Blissfield American Legion Post 325.
Surviving is his wife, Carolyn Piotter of Blissfield; three daughters, Deborah
Lynn (Dale) Grimes of Adrian, Peggy Sue (Bret) LaFollete of Blissfield, and
Jacqueline Kay Piotter of Blissfield; one sister, Joan (Donald) Dart of Aurora,
Missouri; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; step
father Walter Watson; and a daughter, Bonnie Piotter.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Tagsold Funeral Home in
Blissfield, with the Rev. Walt Miller officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant
View Cemetery in Blissfield. Military graveside services will be conducted by
the Blissfield American Legion and the Blissfield VFW.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Monday, and from 2-5 and 7-9
p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be_ made to the First United Methodist
Church, or to the Blissfield American Legion Post 325.
