The Daily Telegram, Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan
Mrs. Maurine Powers, 42, wife of Harold Eugene Powers, of 917 Chestnut Street,
died in Bixby Hospital Monday at 4:45 p.m. She had been ill for about a year and
a half. 

Mrs. Powers was born Feb. 5. 1917, at Scarbro, West Va., the daughter of Alfred
and Laura Martin Foster. On Sept. 25, 1946, she was married to Harold E. Powers
at Angola, Ind., and he survives. Mrs. Powers was a member of the First
Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Powers is survived by three sons, Michael,
Jeffrey and Kenneth, all at home; two stepsons, Donald Powers of Adrian and
Curtner Powers of Beaver Falls, PA.; two brothers, Junior and Thomas Foster and
one sister, Mrs. Kelly (Maxine) O'Dell. all of West VA.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Braun Funeral Home with the
Rev. Joseph Couglin officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park.

Curtner's name was spelled incorrectly in the obituary, as well as where he resided.
