BLISSFIELD - William F. Schadeward, 80, of 2402 Piotter Highway, Blissfield, 
died Tuesday evening, December 27, 1977 at Bixby Hospital where he had been a 
patient for two days.  He was born Jan. 25, 1897 in Deerfield to Gottlieb and 
Augusta (Zilke) Schadewald.  On October 7, 1919 he married Mary Hegy who 
preceded him in death in October 1974.  Mr. Schadewald lived in the Deerfield 
area all his life and was a farmer, retiring in 1959.  He was a member of the 
North Blissfield Immanuel Lutheran Church. Survivors include five sons, 
William Jr. of Deerfield, Norman of Blissfield, Don and Charles both of Adrian 
and Stanley of Holloway; five daughters, Mrs. Darwin (Glenda) Shirley and Mrs. 
Carol Cole , both of Manitou Beach, Mrs. Gayln (Maybelle) Berry of Blissfield, 
Mrs. Wendell (Mary) Disbrow of Tecumseh and Mrs. Ray (Donna) Case of Adrian; 
one brother Paul Schadewald of Adrian, one sister, Mrs. Josephine Gamber of 
Sylvania, Ohio; 40 grandchildren and 29 great-grand children, one brother and 
two sisters.  Services will be 1 P.M. Friday at the North Blissfield Immanuel 
Lutheran with Pastor Karl Oelschlager officiating.  Burial will be in 
Deerfield Cemetery. Friends may call 7-9 today and all day Thursday at the 
Spencer Funeral Home, Deerfield.
