Adrian Daily Telegram - Friday, October 11, 1974 
DEERFIELD - Mrs. Mary Della Schadewald, 74, died Friday , October 11, 1974 at 
2:15 P.M. at Hillhaven Convalescent Center in Adrian, where she had been a 
patient for three days.  Mrs. Schadewald lived at 2402 Piotter Hwy., 
Blissfield.  She had been seriously ill for a year.  Born September 4, 1900 in 
Ohio, the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Albert Hegy, she had lived in the 
Blissfield-Deerfield area her entire life.  She was married October 7, 1919 to 
William F. Schadewald Sr., who survives with five sons, William Jr. of 
Deerfield, Norman of Riga, Don and Charles of Adrian and Stanley of Britton: 
Six daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Hazel) Seegert and Mrs. Ray (Donna) Case of 
Adrian, Mrs. Darwin (Glenda) Shirley and Mrs. Raynor (Carol) Cole of Manitou 
Beach, Mrs. Gayln (Maybelle) Berry and Mrs. Wendell (Mary) Disbrow of 
Tecumseh, 38 grandchildren and 21 great-grand children.  Mrs. Schadewald was a 
member of the North Blissfield Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Charity 
circle.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30P.M. at the North 
Blissfield Immanuel Church, with burial in Deerfield Cemetery.  Friends may 
call at the McNeil-Spencer Funeral Home in Deerfield after 7 tonight and until 
noon Monday.
