LEXINGTON, S.C.: Fred Schadewald, 53, of Lexington, S.C., formerly of 
Deerfield, Mi., died suddenly Thursday morning Jan. 31, 2002, in a Lexington 
Hospital.  Born July 19, 1948, he was the son of William and Rhea (Shirley) 
Schadewald.  He married Darlene Monaghan on Sept. 26, 1970.  Fred was employed 
by Mountaintop Motor sports, Lexington, S.C. 

Surviving are his wife; his mother of Petersburg, two sons, Robbie (Samantha) 
and grandson Tyler of Lexington, B.J. of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, 
Lawrence (Sharon) Schadewald of Petersburg, two sisters, Barbara (Gary) 
Murdock of Petersburg and Janet (Roy) Wiebusch of Brooklyn and many neices and 
nephews. His Father and one brother, Kenneth, preceded him in death.  Services 
and cremation took place Sunday, Feb.3, 2002 at the Caugham-Harman Funeral 
Home and Crematory, Lexington.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11a.m., 
Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 343 E. Center St, 
Petersburg, Mi.
