 Augusta E. Cox

    ADRIAN--Augusta E. Cox, 92, of Adrian, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000 at Adrian
Health Care. She was born Sept. 18, 1908 in Monessen, Pa., to Frank and Elva
(Garlow) Shadwald. On July 17, 1929, she married Kermit R. Cox in Bryan, Ohio.
He preceded her in death on March 27, 1963. Mrs. Cox lived most of her life in
Adrian and Deerfield. She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheraan Church and the
Ladies Act. Mrs. Cox is survived by a son, Greg (Debbie) Cox of Adrian; two
sisters, Lois Shadwald and June Williams of Deerfield; nine grandchildren and 12
great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Kermit, she was preceded in death by
her parents, her stepmother who raised her from infancy, a brother, Frank
Shadwald Jr., two sons, Marvin and David Cox; a granddaughter, Amy Cox, and a
sister, Julia Knowles. Funeral services for Mrs. Cox will be held on Tusesday,
Oct 17, 2000, at 11a.m., at the Braun Everiss Wagley Funeral Home with the Rev.
Brian Keller officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park.
Friends may visit the family on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Braun
Everiss Wagley Funeral Home.
