Mrs. Elizabeth Shaw Special to the Telegram Cadmus, Feb. 21, 1930 Mrs. Elizabeth Skeels Shaw, aged 88 years died Thursday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock in the home of her daughter Mrs. G.D. Lefferts, one and one half miles northeast of Cadmus, where she had lived last 10 years. Mrs. Shaw was the former Miss Elizabeth Hoxter. She was married in October, 1863 to Bertrand Skeels, who died in 1913. In 1915 she was married to Charles Shaw of Clayton whose death occurred in 1920. She is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Lefferts; three sons, Clarence Skeels of Baldwin, Fred Skeels of Detroit, and H. Roy Skeels of Adrian, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the home and at 2 o'clock in the Cadmus church. Dr. O. R. Stilson of Adrian College will officiate. The burial will be made in the East Rome Cemetery. Funeral of Mrs Shaw Special to the Telegram Cadmus, Feb. 25, 1930 -- the funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Shaw was held at the Cadmus Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon. The burial was made in the East Rome Cemetery. The bearers were Waylond Skeels, Chester Wilber, Harold Skeels, Orville Lefferts, Wayne Townsend, and Leslie Shaw. Those from away attending were Edward McLouth and daughters of Ann Arbor, Mr.and Mrs. Clarence Skeels of Gladwin, Mr. and Mrs. Claude McGuffey of Ferndale, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Skeels, Mr. and Mrs.Carl Johnson and daughter, Miss Irene Sword of Lincoln Park, Mr. and Mrs Arthur Lagerstrom and 2 children, and Mr.and Mrs. Earl Shelito and son of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wilbur, Mrs. Bernice Reed and 2 daughters of Toledo, Mrs Harry Shaw and son Leslie of Plainwell, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Skeels and son of Lorain, Ohio, Byron Shaw, Thomas Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Skeels, Mr and Mrs. Wayland Skeels and family, Mr. and Mrs E.E. Tobias, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Dunbar of Adrian, Orville Lefferts of Ann Arbor, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Rarick and 2 sons, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rarick of Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Barker of Rudolph, Ohio, Charles Todd, and Mr. McCollum of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bills of Redford.
