Roy Skeels, died Wednesday at 8 a.m. at the Maccabee home in Alma. She was the daughter of Phillip and Clara Aldrich and lived all her life in Lenawee County, except for two years in Lorain Ohio, She was born Feb. 28, 1872, in Rome township. After her marriage to Mr. Skeels the couple operated a small store in Medina for many years. Her husband died April 2, 1948. Mrs. Skeels was a member of the Maccabee lodge and the First Babtist Church in Adrian. Mrs. Skeels is survived by a son, Herold V. Skeels of Philadelphia; a daughter Mrs. Rex (Loreen) Dunbar Maples of Flint; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband, a sister, Mrs. Edith Miles,and 2 brothers, George and Elmer Aldrich preceded in death. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Everiss Funeral Home. The burial will be in the East Rome Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening.
