John C. VALAS, 76, of Howard City, formerly of metro Detroit, a retired 
automobile executive and university professor, passed away on Memorial Day, 
Monday, May 31, 2004, at Spectrum Health-Blodgett Campus, East Grand Rapids.

Committal services, with full military honors, will follow at 2:30 p.m. on 
Thursday at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Mich.
