Wilma P. Waltz 


Age 81, of Hudson, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2004, surrounded 
by her loving family at home. She was born January 11, 1923, the daughter of 
James & Lela (Mapes) Clark in Boyne City, Michigan. She married Lester Waltz 
on May 22, 1944, he preceded her in death in July of 1969. She was a member of 
Freedom Christian Fellowship in Adrian. Wilma read her Bible faithfully. She 
enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing cards with her family. 

She is survived by her seven children; Virginia Patrick of Blytheville, AR, 
Linda (Leroy) Proffitt of
Adrian, Annabelle (Harry) Barnett of Morenci, Charolett (Garry "Butch") 
Britton of Hillsdale,
Vallirie (Wes) Blaker of Hudson, Jamerson Waltz of Clayton, and Jerry "Hony" 
(Yolanda) Waltz of Weston; five stepchildren, thirty-nine grandchildren, sixty-
two great grandchildren, and twenty great great grandchildren; one brother, 
Brian (Wanda) Clark of Jasper, three sisters; Nadine (Clair) Sower of 
Canandaigua, Shirley (Alex Kampf) Risner of Birch Run, and Donna (Lloyd) Bice 
of Clayton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, her parents, two 
sisters, one brother and several grandchildren. 

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday at the Purse Funeral Home, Adrian 
with Rev. Bill Ellenwood, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood 
Cemetery, Adrian. Visitation will be fro 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM both Saturday and 
Sunday in the Purse Funeral Home, Adrian. Memorial Contributions may be made
