Mr. Westerman was an Englishman by birth, and came to this country when in his 18th year. He was always industrious and frugal in his habits, so that at the time of his death, at the age of 77, he was master of a considerable competence. His death occurred at the home of his son-in-law, Col. Pepple, in Detroit. The remains were brought to Blissfield yesterday. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Mr. Kerridge, and was witnessed by a large number of relatives and sympathising friends. Mr. Westerman was one of the first members of the oldest Odd Fellows lodge in America. he leaves a companion nearly as old as himself, five children, all married, and numerous grand and great grandchildren. dz
