This is one group of small stones resembling those described by Harriet Cole 
Bowen in 1942:  "There are many small uninscrived (sic) stones, being used, 
apparently, for marking the site of a grave, and not foot stones."  One of the 
stones in this photo has actually been inserted in the soil.
