Requiring her however to pay all my past and lawful debts. Item; after the decease of my said wife Elinor I will that my property so left by her shall be sold by my Executor and distributed amongst my several heirs as follows; to wit; Item; I give and bequeath to my son Martin Cox the sum of Five, $5.00 Dollars, Item: I give and bequeath to my Grand Son Harvey Cox Five, $5.00 Dollars, I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Martha Cox Five, $5.00 Dollars; All the rest residue and remainder of my Estate I give and bequeath unto my beloved Grand Children, Three Sons of my dugter[sic] Emily D Bailey Share and Share alike. Item, Fourth; I hereby nominate constitute and appoint Louis Blanchard to be Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and and [sic] seal this fifth day of August in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and seventy one. (signed by him? an "LS" in a squigglely circle after and above the name) Micigeh Cox The above instrument consisting of one sheet was now here subscribed by Micajah Cox the testator in the presence of Each of us and was at the same time declared by him to be his last will and testament and we at his request sign our names hereunto as attesting witnesses Amos Kendall } Medina, Lenawee Co., Michigan Abraham Kendall} Medina, Lenawee Co., Michigan Will Petition for Probate by Eleanor Cox dated May 24, 1875 "Micajah Cox late of Medina in the County of Lenawee departed this life in said township of Medina on the nineteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy five" .....
