David BARNARD died at his home in Conway after a short illness, having enjoyed unusual good health until five days before his death. He was born in Cohoctah, Steuben county, New York, June 6, 1833, and at the age of six years came with his parents to Michigan, settling in Genoa, where he grew to young manhood. In 1866 he moved to Handy, residing with his brother Amos and assisting with him with the farm work. He was married to Miss Clara GEYER September 27, 1881, and moved to Conway where he spent the balance of his life. He died September 28, at the age of 84, 5 months and 22 days, being the last of a family of twenty-one children to be called. Left to mourn their loss besides the sorrowing wife, are three children, Mrs. Alma EISELE of Iosco, Walter and Hazel at home, and a host of friends. Mr. BARNARD was a man possessing a sterling, upright character and blessed with the kindness of dispositions, being always willing to sacrifice his own happiness for that of others. He was very charitable, always ready to give aid to any worthy cause. His stirring ambition never allowed him to remain idle even to the last. The funeral services were held at the Conway U. B. church Saturday, December 1. Rev. G. L. ADAMS officiating, and the remains were interred in the Miller cemetery. Additional Comments: David's parents were James BARNARD & Abigail Bigelow FOWLER.
