The death of Mark BARNARD, of Genoa, occurred at the family residence September 7. The deceased was 72 years 3 months and 2 days old; had been a resident of the township of Genoa for a great many years, and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him. During the rebellion he enlisted and shouldered arms in defence of his country, receiving an honorable discharge from the highest governmental authority. He is survived by his wife, one son, two brothers- Amos and David, of Conway, and one sister at Nashville, Mich., to mourn the loss of a good kind husband, father and brother. The funeral took place from the home of his son Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. L. S. BROOKE, of Howell officiating. Additional Comments: Mark's parents were David BARNARD & Abigail Bigelow FOWLER.
