He had been engaged as a mail carrier on No. 2 of the Howellrural delivery routes, until ill health forced him to quit. Mr. Dean was born in Brighton township October 8, 1854, in his early childhood his parents moved to Conway township, where he spent yhe sears of his early life and young manhood. In March 1884, he married Miss Norma I. Mckean, of Howell. For the past six years he and his family have resided here. He was a member of the Mordren Woodmen. The funeral took place from the M. E. church at 1 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon of this week, Rev. C. L. Adams officiating. A wife and three little children are left to mourn their loss of a kind husband and father.
