ETTA LOVISA HORTON

Etta Lovisa Horton, age 87, of Howell, died at her home, Tuesday, March 27, 
2007. She was born January 9, 1920 in Livonia, MI, the daughter of Leon E. and 
Lillian (Baker) Newman. Etta was a 1937 Howell High School graduate; was 
retired after 34 years from Citizens Insurance Company; member and past 
president of American Legion Devereaux Post #141 Auxillary; board member of 
Livingston County F.I.A.; also member of First United Methodist Church of 
Howell. Dear mother of Franci Horton and Sylvia (John) Northrup, both of 
Howell; grandmother of Gordie and Betsy Northrup; sister of Allen Newman of 
Georgia; also survived by one niece, three nephews and ten great-nieces and 
great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank (1977); brother 
and sister-in-law, Lucius and Barbara Newman and step-mother, Ann Newman. 
Funeral services will be Saturday 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church with 
Rev. Charles Jacobs officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation 
Thursday 6-8 PM and Friday 1-4 & 6-8 PM at MacDonald's Funeral Home, Howell 
(517-546-2800). Memorial contributions are suggested to First United Methodist
