This would be considered a medium sized cemetery and many of the stones are still legible, but many of the graves are also unmarked. The cemetery was plotted next to the church as early as 1850. The church prospered until 1918 when a neighbor started a grass fire and the building burned down losing everything except for a few pieces of furniture. The cemetery lasted until 1922 and then was disbanded. As of April 2007 the cemetery appears to be well kept and in use once again. The last internment was "Bud" Martin of Martins Hwd. South Lyon in 2003. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/livingston/photos/gate96391gph.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/mifiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
