The Ojibwe would bury their dead in a burial mound.  Many erect a (jiibegamig) 
spirit house over the burial mound. In this cemetery each of the white crosses 
without names, marks the grave of an unknown Native American.

This cemetery is located just before Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church.
