John Bolan was born 1838 to Francis & Kate Closs Bolan. He married Mary Eleonora (Leonore) Paquin and they had nine children. John was a fisherman and they lived in Saint Ignace, Hendricks and Moran, Michigan. He died 23 May 1917 in Moran and is buried at Gros Cap Cemetery, Block A, Lot 12 next to a stone with only Frank Bolan (perhaps his father).
