She married Abraham Goudreau on 23 May 1872 in Saint Ignace, who was the son of Amable Goudreau, pioneer of that family who came from Canada with the idea of extracting the oil from the whitefish, to be used for oil lamps. He worked for the Hudson Bay Fur Company and made a fortune in real esstate in the Saint Ignace area. Some of the streets of Saint Ignace are named for his children. Abraham and Katherine had seven children. Woodmen Circle was an early type of life insurance policy. Members helped other members with expenses when a death occurred, including the cost of the monument with the stipulation "Woodmen Cirle" be included on the monument. Abraham (1849-1912) is also buried in this location.
