DIED MAY 14, 1883
AGED 49 YEARS
Stone Broken
"We miss thee in the circle around their side/ We miss three in devotion at 
peace of eventide/ The memory of thy nature so full of truth and love/ Shall 
lead our thoughts to see thee among the blest above".

Additional Comments:
Notes from Margaret Smith:
Perhaps Eli Sr. (father) is buried in this location.  He was born in 1816 and 
died May 22, 1901, aged 95.  Eli Jr. married Mary Ann McDonald, born 1834 and 
died May 14, 1883, the same day as Eli, Jr., and is buried in Gros Cap 
according to her obituary.
