Additional Comments:
John was born 03 Mar 1819 in Vermont and died in Saint Ignace, Michigan.  He 
married Mary Belle Blanchard 13 Oct 1843.
This location is the Shurtleff plot.  Also buried here is their son, Junius 
John.  Gros Cap Records state: "a very old stone on the ground and broken in 
three parts; inscription illegible.  Blanchard family bible records show that 
Junius was the son of John and Mary Blanchard Shurtliff and was born July 10, 
1851; died June 2, 1879.
