Additional Comments:
Mary Belle was born 19 Sep 1825 to Isaac & Mary Babbien Blanchard on Mackinac 
Island, Michigan.  She married John S. Shurtleff, 13 Oct 1843 and they had 
four children.  Gros Cap records state that her husband, John, taught school 
in St. Ignace for a time.
