Clemens Monitor, September 7, 1900 CADY, MRS. SUSAN: Died on Sunday, was born in Detroit, March 8th 1806, and was thus in her 95th year. When 19 years of age she was married to Horace Cady, and they moved into the Cady homestead 64 years ago. Of her five children a son and three daughters survive. Her husband died 14 years ago. Mrs. Cady had been a member of the Methodist church for 75 years. She was here when the country was a wilderness, and knew all the toils, dangers, and privations of a pioneer life. She was a woman of remarkable mental vigor, and was greatly loved for her many beauties of character. The funeral, from the Methodist church Tuesday, was largely attended. Services were conducted by the Revds. Jno. Russel and C.B. Steele.
