CONNER, MISS NELLIE:  Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Conner, died, after a 
brief illness of only a few weeks, Tuesday morning at half past two o'clock.  
She had been confined to the bed for about three weeks.  Some weeks prior to 
her illness she fell and received internal injuries which was the direct cause 
of her death.  Miss Conner was 27 years of age and had been a bright, pretty, 
girl from childhood.  She had a large circle of friends and acquaintances in 
this city, Detroit, and other places, and we know of no other young lady in 
this vicinity, who will be any more missed from the social circle than Miss 
Nellie Conner.
  No one can describe the feelings of the writer who is called upon to 
chronicle the death of this estimable and accomplished young lady.  We feel 
more like joining the mourning relatives and sharing their deep and awful 
sorrow.  Hope was entertained all along that her life might be saved and up to 
last Friday she was not considered particularly dangerously ill.  But Saturday 
she passed a day of extreme suffering and from that time grew worse and Monday 
morning it was reported that she was dying.  All day and through the dreary 
night her parents, sisters and brothers and a number of devoted friends 
watched by the bedside of the dying girl and did all they could to alleviate 
her sufferings as she lay in a state bordering on unconsciousness.  She died 
peacefully.
  The funeral services were held today at the house, the Rev. Mr. Ashman, of 
Detroit, officiating.
