Pfannes, 85, of Troy, a homemaker and church activist, died Saturday, March 11, 1995, of pulmonary disease a Med-i-Lodge in Richmond. Mrs. Pfannes spent much of her time raising money for St. Rita Roman Catholic Church in Detroit. She was a member of the Altar Society and the Daughters of Isabella. Mrs. Pfannes is survived by four sons, John, William, Edward and Timothy; a brother, Edward McIlroy; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 3 to 9 p.m. today a A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks, Troy. Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 280 E. Square Lake Road, Troy. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
