Elwood G. Lyon, age 89, of Harrison Township, died Saturday, August 3, 2013. 
Born November 8, 1923 in Detroit. Veteran of the U.S. Navy, retired from 
Michigan Bell (now known as AT&T). Survived by wife Kathleen; children Fred 
(Elaine) Lyon, Douglas (Barbara) Lyon, Deborah (Ronald) Selkey; step children 
Brenda (Jeff) Stiles, Timothy (Kristen) Roberts, Coni (Joseph) DiSanto, Matthew 
(Tami) Roberts, and Jennifer (Paul) Ferri; 13 grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife Doris Marie Lyon; granddaughter 
Kathleen, and brothers and sisters. Funeral service Wednesday 2 p.m. (instate 
1:30 p.m.) First Presbyterian Church, 168 Cass, Mt. Clemens. Visitation Tuesday 
2-8 p.m., Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mt. Clemens.
