A.H.Peters Funeral Home, Warren, MI
Gerald Thomas Pionk died on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 with family by his side. He 
was born on October 29, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan; the son of Leo and Theresa 
Pionk. Jerry joined the United States Army in 1959 and served until 1961. One 
year later, Jerry married Jeanette Schwartz on May 12, 1962 in Detroit, 
Michigan. He worked for Fischer Body and in his later years for Detroit Diesel 
before retiring as supervisor in 1999.

 Jerry had joined several bowling leagues through the years and he tried to 
like golf. He was a wonderful husband and father and loved his five grandson 
very much.

 Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm 
at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. A 
scripture service will be held on Thursday night at 7:00 pm. Instate Friday 
10:00 am until the time of the funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Ephrem Catholic 
Church, 38900 Dodge Park Road, Sterling Heights. Interment will be in Great 
Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 10:00 
am with military honors.

 Memorial contribution to Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.) or to American 
Cancer Society or to William Beaumont Hospice would be appreciated.

Additional Comments:
His parents Leo and Theresa Glaza Pionk were born in Paris Twp. Ruth, MI and  
lived in the Wayne & Macomb area most of there life.
