Additional Comments:
Joseph and Ellen immigrated to Erin Township, Macomb County from Stanford,
England in 1853.
Ellen was daughter of William Belcher and Sophia (Stratten) Belcher who also had
immigrated from Stanford, England. Both died in Erin Township. William on
September 18, 1853, and Sophia on August 02, 1878. They are also buried at Erin
Grove.
Ellen’s two brothers Giles and John are also buried at Erin Grove.
