[This marker was difficult because the family name at the bottom of the stone
says "VERNIEA" (which is the phonetic spelling for the French pronunciation of
the name "VERNIER") while lines 5 and 6 state that Mary S. was the wife of Henry
"Vernier". I chose to file this stone under both names alphabetically with a
backslash (/). I fully understand that there are possible errors on the stone
within itself. If you are a relative of these two individuals, please understand
that I've done my best to cater to both spellings as part of a judgment call in
the transcription of the marker. I have embedded a personal sketch of this
