He must leave October 6th for Fort Lewis, Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Murray and Mrs. Leon Conrad left last Saturday for Upper Michigan bird hunting. Mrs. Emma Larsen left last Friday for her home in Joliet. Mrs. Ed Larsen and baby and her mother were here a couple of days last week. Pfc. Kenneth Milliron came home on furlough, called by the death of his grandfather, William Milliron. Mr. and Mrs. George Schermerhorn returned home last Saturday night after visiting relatives in Minnesota a week. They were accompanied by their son and wife Mr. and Mrs. Glen Schermerhorn. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Scott returned home last Saturday after a trip to Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cribbs were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Brown. Guests at the Harold Hyusell home last Saturday night were Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Wells, Mr. and Mrs Leon Griffith, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Finan made a business trip to Lansing Friday, returning home Saturday. John Milliron came to spend the weekend at his home here. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Milliron and Rosemary of Shelby were called here Saturday evening by the death of his father, William Milliron. Cpl. John Scarbrough is home on furlough visiting his wife and parents. Bob Romsek of Muskegon visited over the weekend at the home of his mother, Mrs. Anna Romsek. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Rinard and children. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stells and son of Muskegon were visitors last Sunday of Mrs. Celia Rinard. Sgt. Max Bargerstock and wife, and family of Selfridge were weekend visitors at the home of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Smith. John Skulina of California arrived last Wednesday to visit a couple of days with his mother and brother Charlie. He also is visiting in Upper Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Petros and friend of Chicago returned home last Tuesday after visiting a few days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cribbs. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wells and children of Muskegon visited at the home of his mother, Mrs. Madge Wells, and her parents at Thompsonville over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Durga and children of Traverse City visited at the home of her mother, Mrs. Madge Wells, last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Armantrout and children of Muskegon spent last Saturday afternoon at the John Milliron home, then spent Saturday night and Sunday at the home of her brother and wife Mr. and Mrs. Henry Somero. Mrs. Don Hart and children and Joe Doneth of Petoskey were visitors of relatives here last Thursday and Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Bowden and children visited last Saturday and Sunday with relatives in Fife Lake. Mrs. Harold Hysell and daughter Jeannine, Joellen Dinger, and Mrs. Charlie Cribbs, shopped in Traverse City last Saturday. Mrs. Eugene Scarbrough and Mrs. John Scarbrough went to Detroit last Saturday morning and brought Eugene home to visit. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan May were overnight guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter May, and Mrs. King last Tuesday night. George Milliron has employment in Detroit. He was home for his grandfather's funeral. Cpl. John Scarbrough is home on a 15-day furlough from Selfridge Field. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Milliron and daughter Rosemary returned to their home in Shelby last Saturday.
