Chester grew to manhood in the community where he was born and his quiet, unassuming manner won for him friends both old and young. His love for his home and dear ones as expressed by his thoughtful consideration for their comfort and welfare was well known to those closely associated with him. He spoke more in deeds than in words and by such did he show forth the high ideals which were the guiding principles of his strong, clean young life. He was a member of the Odd Fellow order at Pontiac where he had been employed for the greater part of the last year. He leaves to mourn his loss his father and mother, one brother and two sisters and a host of relatives and friends. A precious one from us is gone, A voice we loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled.
