Block 1, Lot 21 - Owner, Charles Acha - There was no record of anyone being 
buried on this lot before my investigation. Charles Acha's first wife died 23 
Oct. 1881, Portage, Manistee, MI. Charles father, Peter Acha died 21 Jan. 
1883, no burial place listed. Charles Acha died 20 Aug. 1920, Sommerville, 
Middlesex, MA., body was shipped back to Manistee county for burial. Charles 
son William H. Acha died 11 Feb. 1951, Benzie county, MI., and was buried in 
Bertelson Cemetery, according to funeral home. There may be others buried here 
as Charles mother's death record has not been found. Charles had a son born 
Nov. 1879, that is the last record of him. The sexton's were not record 
keepers. This stone was originally placed in 1951. The new name was placed in 
2003.
