Finch, 79, of Williamsburg, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Bortz Health Care, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Jan. 8, 1925, in Big Rapids, the daughter of Albert and Esther (Hollenbeck) Cole. On March 4, 1944, in Coffeyville, Kan., she married Bernard E. Finch, who preceded her in death on May 13, 2004. Elfrida retired from the Coloma Public Schools as a cook. She attended the Williamsburg United Methodist Church and was a member of the Coloma Ladies Lions Club. She enjoyed painting, playing the organ, sewing, knitting, crafts and arranging flowers. She truly loved her family, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Bernard in 2004. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Doug Pedersen officiating. Burial will take place in the Conway Cemetery in Arcadia. Memorials may be given to the Williamsburg United Methodist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City.
