Dale Earl Gilbert
      Died September 24, 2000
      ARCADIA - Dale Earl Gilbert, 67, of Arcadia, died Sunday at Munson 
Medical Center in Traverse City.
      Born Nov. 22, 1932, in Arcadia, he was the son of Edwin Earl and Edna 
Florence (Tonsley) Gilbert. On Dec. 12, 1958, in Frankfort, he married the 
former Alvera J. Oligney.
      Dale served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member 
of the VFW Post in Arcadia. He was employed as a heat treat operator for the 
Aluminum Fabricating Plant. Dale lived for hunting and fishing.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Lyle, Neil 
and Wayne Gilbert.
      Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. 
Friday, Sept. 29, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home in Beulah with Pastor Mark 
Anderson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home at the time of 
service.
      Memorials may be directed to The Arcadia Methodist Church, the VFW Post 
in Arcadia or the Arcadia Fire and Rescue Departments.
