Ted was born in Arcadia Township on July 20, 1924, the son of Hans Martin and Emilie (Zeller) Hanson. Ted was a former employee of Bohn Aluminum in South Haven, and then was a manager of and retired from the Bangor Fruit Exchange. He moved to Frankfort in 1984 and operated a saw sharpening business. He served our country during World War II in the U.S. Navy, receiving an honorable discharge. He was a member of the Frankfort Eagles, American Legion Post #49 in South Haven and the 40 et 8 Post on Manistee. On Dec. 6, 1984, he married Jeannette Baatz, who survives. Ted is also survived by his sons, Robert of Utah and Bill (Doris) of Interlochen; his two daughters, Diana (Wandell) Everett and Amelia Hoolan, both of Newport Ritchie, Fla.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Ted was preceded in death by three sisters, Lydia, Ida and Louise; and two brothers, Carl and Herbert. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arcadia, with Deacon Ted Beiderwieden officiating. Interment will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Legion Post #221 in Frankfort. The family was assisted by the Frankfort Chapel, McElduff Funeral Homes.
