BEAR LAKE - Frank L. McClain, 70, of Bear Lake, went home to be with the Lord 
on Monday at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
      He was born on Dec. 27, 1930, in Roystown, the son of Norman and Hattie 
(Stubegon) McClain. On Oct. 1, 1951, in Gosaen, Ind., he married the former 
Goldie Snyder.
      Frank was employed as a trucker. He was a member of the First Baptist 
Church of Bear Lake. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army during the 
Korean conflict.
      He is survived by his wife, Goldie; daughters, Betty Stamate of Mesick, 
Linda (Doug) Alkire of Bear Lake and Nancy (David) Gilbert of Arcadia; 10 
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
      He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dale Stamate; four brothers; 
and one sister.
      The family will be at the Edwards Funeral Home in Bear Lake to receive 
friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
      Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist 
Church of Bear Lake with Pastor Al DeCatur officiating. Burial will be in the 
Pleasanton Township Cemetery.
