Randall Died February 11, 1999 BEAR LAKE, Mich. - Helen M. Randall, 90, of Bear Lake, died Thursday afternoon at The Maples in Frankfort, Mich. She was born Oct. 14, 1908, in Honor, Mich., the daughter of O.A. and Helma (Swanson) Hobson. She married DeVere I. Randall, who preceded her in death in 1974. Helen was a homemaker and a member of Bear Lake United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Madeleine (Jerry) Mattheu and one son, DeVere H. (Joan) Randall, both of Bear Lake, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ogden Hobson of Traverse City, Mich., and Jack Hobson of New Port Richey, Fla., and Honor, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by one grandson; six brothers; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Bear Lake, with the Rev. James Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in Pleasanton Township Cemetery in the spring. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
