Swanson b. 29 Apr. 1945 d. 5 Jan. 2000 ---------------------------- TRAVERSE CITY RECORD EAGLE --- 7 Jan. 2000 Pamela Katherine Swanson Died January 5, 2000 BEAR LAKE - Pamela Katherine Swanson, 54, of Bear Lake, died Wednesday at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Born April 29, 1945, in Manistee, she was the daughter of Peter and Ann (Pnovsky) Sedlar. Pam had been employed by Bottrell's Sales and Services in Manistee for 14 years. A member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Copemish, Pam enjoyed old movies, hunting for mushrooms, fishing, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a fantastic story teller, particularly when she was describing her dreams. On Sept. 28, 1963, in Frankfort, Pam married Floyd M. Swanson, who survives her. She is also survived by her children, Kris (Brian) Mezeske of Brethren and Roger Swanson of Bear Lake; five grandchildren, Brent, Austin, Ryan, Kaydee and Tyler; her brothers and sisters, Patricia (Jim) Robertson of Elkhart, Ind., Pearl (Frank) Siciliano of Elkhart, Ind., Patrick Sedlar of Union, Paul (Barbara) Sedlar of Bear Lake, Peter (Diane) Sedlar of Edwardsburg and Phillip Sedlar of Kaleva; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ed and Helen Alfred of Manistee, Ray and Dorothy Swanson of Bear Lake, Tom and Pat Swanson of Copemish, John and Marie Konicki of Manistee, Mike and Naomi Zaleski of Bear Lake, Phil and Beverly Perelta of Manistee, George and Nora Hunt of Manistee and Ed and Joyce Thompson of Bear Lake. Pam was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Priscella Chmielewski. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Father Michael Connor officiating. Interment will be in Pleasanton Township Cemetery.
