Wallace, 73, of Thompsonville died last night at the Paul Oliver Memorial hospital in Frankfort. He was born April 21, 1882, in Indiana, but had lived most of his life in Manistee county. -- Survivors include his wife Gertrude of Thompsonville; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Pelon of Thompsonville and Mrs. Maxine Brown of Benzonia; two sons, Laverne of Bear Lake and Basil of Thompsonville; nine grandchildren; one brother, Frank of Bear Lake; and two sisters, Mrs. Loane Stump of Indiana and Mrs. Ella Hulbert of Canada. -- Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Pleasanton Methodist church. Burial will be in Pleasanton cemetery. -- The body will be at the Terwilliger funeral home in Kaleve until Tuesday noon when it will be taken to the Pleasanton church to lie in state until time of services. ######################################################### TRAVERSE CITY RECORD EAGLE--14 Dec. 1979--Page 11--- THOMPSONVILLE--Gertrude R. Reed, 85, of Thompsonville, died Thursday at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City following a long illness. -- She was born in Pleasanton Township in Manistee County on April 2, 1894, the daughter of Ruben and Cynthia Gale. She was a member of the Pleasanton Methodist Church. -- Surviving are her husband, LeeRoy; two sons, LaVern Wallace of Bear Lake and Basil Wallace of Thompsonville; two daughters, Mrs. Al (Maxine) Brown of Ludington and Mrs. Warner (Dorothy) Pelon of Thompsonville; several step- children; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; a niece and several cousins. -- Preceding her in death was her first husband, Charles Wallace, in 1955. -- Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kalava, with the Rev. Gordon Spalenka officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Township Cemetery. -- Friends may call at the funeral home trom 7-9 p.m. tonight.
