Duluth, MN,   Wednesday, November 19, 1930   p 13

      Mrs A D Jacobs, 1624 East Fourth street, a resident of Duluth for 28 years,
died Tuesday. She was born in Peru, Ind, and lived for many years at Marquette,
Mich, moving from there to Duluth in 1902. She is survived by her husband, a son,
William and a sister, Mrs W W Flora, Colorado Springs, Colo. Mrs Jacobs was an
active worker in the First Methodist church and YWCA and was also active in the
Twentieth Century club and Matinee Musicale.

Pearle (Wallick) JACOBS was born 18 August 1872 (Minnesota Certicicate of Death, has
"1873") to Capt William F M WALLICK (1842OH-1873IN) and Anna Elizabeth HAGEE
(ca1843PA-1877IN), married 25 June 1868, Miami county, Indiana. 

Pearle and sister Maude were orphaned with mother's death 27 October 1877. 

Pearle is found as "servant" in John Akright household, Muddy Bayou, Faulkner
county, Arkansas in 1880 census. Next found at Marquette, MI 1900 census, to Duluth
in 1902, married after 1905 census, letter from my mother 12 Mar 1906, son born 1908
then at my mother's death, 2 April 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri.

How she got to Marquette, MI from Muddy Bayou, AR is a mystery untold. 

She would visit her sister Maude in Colorado, and on one occasion her son William
Albert (1908MN-1977CA) tossed a baseball high into the sky and caught it to
amazement of my cousins, Harriette, b 1921 and William Hopkins, b 1923,
grandchildren of Maude Flora, told me by Harriette in 
2003. 

Pearle's husband was Albert D Jacobs (1874MI-1963MI). 

Pearle is buried in Forrest Hills cemetery, Duluth, MN
