Mrs Florence McRae Best, 77 years old, and a resident of the Naguanee district 
for the last 6 years passed away Saturday shortly before noon, at the home of 
her daughter Mrs Henry Trevarrow, Main Street. She had been ill about two 
months.
    Mrs Best was born in Edinburgh Scotland. When she was a child of eight the 
family moved to Toronto, Canada. On June 29, 1864 she married F.X.Pellier, who 
died four years later. She became the wife of the late Cptn John Best in 
Negaunee on Oct 7,1873.
   She is suevived by five children and four grandchildren. The children are 
Francis X. Pellier, Los Angeles, Cal, John M. Best, Oakland, Cal. Mrs H.B. 
Trevarrow, Negaunee. Duncan Best, Detroit, and Harry E. Best, Miama, Ariz. 
Duncan Best arrived yesterday from Detroit to attend the funeral which will be 
held Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock from St. Paul’s Church.
