Jeremiah Reidy b. 1841, Meenleitrim, Knocknagoshel, Castleisland, County 
Kerry, Ireland, d. 1927, Ironwood, Gogebic County, Michigan.

Mary Ann Laughlin Reidy, b. 1858, Negaunee, d. 1910, Negaunee

 

Daniel Reidy (1894-1894)

Jeremiah Reidy (1899-1899)

 

 

 

Jeremiah emigrated in 1872 and worked in the iron ore mines.  Mary Ann’s 
father, Daniel Laughlin emigrated in the early 1850’s.  He married Hanora 
Flynn and Mary Ann was reputed to be the first immigrant child born on the 
Upper Peninsula.  Both her parents were also from County Kerry.
