Sparks have gone to visit relatives at Howard City, Coral and Grand Rapids. - Roy Vosbinder died at the home of his mother in Central Chippewa Tuesday. - Fred Sample from near Hersey, cousin of Mrs. Ralph Hinkley and Leonard Sparks died at his home Tuesday. - Arthur Hyde of Chippewa also died that day. - The Wm. Bovay family are all improving slightly. - Mrs. George E. Sparks of Chippewa and Mrs. John Giles Bailey of Hungerford were the recipients of a poem at holiday time, which was sent by their sister, Mrs. George Mackin of Wheaton, Minn. It was printed on snow white paper in booklet form with straw colored cover and was entitled, "Not as the Lily Fades Away." - Little Ina May Hinkley, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hinkley of South Evart is dead. - Influenza is raging around Emerald, Maxine Tice being the latest victim. - Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hooker, their son Forest and baby daughter were visitors at the home of George E. Sparks. They motored over from South Evart Friday. - Carmi Smith and Raymond McCollum visited there Sunday. - Mrs. James Dempsey and Mrs. William Beckweth are visiting friends in Saginaw. - Mrs. henry Church returned to the home of her son, Roger in Evart Saturday. - Clifford Sparks and family motored to the George E. Sparks home Sunday. They were accompanied by Ernest Morgan and family. There was too much snow for easy motoring, - There is much sickness in Evart at present. - Harold Williams and family and Miss Gladys Laird, a niece, were guests at the Ralph Hinkley home recently. MERLE PALMER GETS HONORABLE DISCHARGE FROM KENTUCKY CAMP East Green. - The flu patients are: Hope Thompson, Clarence and Katherine Palmer, Mrs. Merton Montague, and the Dougloss children. At this writing they are doing nicely. - Merle Palmer has received his honorable discharge and is home from Camp Knox, Ky. He left about six months ago. - Mrs. James Adair has been ill the past week. - Jesse Smith and James Adair are taking full benefit of our few days sleighing by hauling logs to mill. - Joseph Ball was the guest of his neice, Mrs. Hans Cox, Saturday. - Mrs. Leo Hamilton is entertaining relatives. - Mrs. Wilbur Cook is a patient at the hospital.
