MRS. JULIA TOTTEN, NATIVE OF CEDAR SPRINGS, DIES

   Mrs. Julia Stoddard Totten, 83, native of Cedar Springs, died at the Soldiers
Home hospital Tuesday, December22. She was born in Cedar Springs, the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Stoddard, but had not lived here for about 50 years.
Mecosta county had been her home since her marriage at the age of 19.

   Her brother, Alvin Stoddard, is a resident of Cedar Springs, living west of
town; and she is also survived by a sister, Mrs florence Bectel of grand Rapids;
and by two children, Floyd of Detroit and Mrs. Nellie Armstrong of Flint.

   Funeral services were held in Big Rapids  Thursday of last week.
