ALICE WAITE DIES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS

     Alice Waite, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Waite of near Stanwood, died 
Saturday evening, August 10, at the Big Rapids hospital after a short illness. 
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Barryton Church of God, 
Rev. Hoverter of Evart officiating.  Burial was at East Fork.
     Alice Irene Waite was born March 10, 1930 at Barryton, Michigan and 
departed this life in the Big Rapids Community Hospital August 10, 1946 at the 
age of 16 yrs. and 5 months.  She was the oldest daughter of Jesse and Esther 
Waite.  She has always been at home with her parents and was ever willing to 
assist with the home work and care for her brothers and sisters.  She leaves 
to mourn their loss her mother and father, five sisters and four brothers; 
also many relatives and friends.
