Raymond L. White was born Dec. 11, 1910 and died Aug. 2, 1948 in Chippewa 
Lake, Mecosta Co., MI.  Cause of death was auto accident.
 
OBITUARY--1948
LOCAL MAN KILLED IN AUTO CRASH
Raymond White, 37, died instantly Monday afternoon when his car crashed into a 
tree at the east edge of Chippewa Lake.  There was but one witness to the 
accident, William Rysdan, 14, of Mulligan, Michigan
Coroner B. L. Franklin was summoned after which the body was brought to 
Barryton.
Funeral services will be held at the Barryton Church of God on Thursday 
afternoon at two o'clock with Rev. Mary Barbour officiating.  Burial will be 
in the Flake cemetery.
Mr. White was the adopted son of Frank White.  Surviving are his wife, Mildred 
(Cummings) White; three daughters, Lucille 14; Beverly, 10; Janet 8.  Also 
five sisters and three brothers.
The family had moved here only a few weeks ago from South Bend, Indiana where 
he quit his work because of illness.  Lately his health had been improved and 
he had been helping with work on the Arthur Vincent farm. His bereaved wife 
and children have the sympathy of the community in their loss.
