John Jefferson Peavey was born 4 Oct 1848 in Canton, St. Lawrence County, New 
York to Adding (Adam, Abner, Add) and Fidelia (Gant or Gitchell) Peavey, died 
15 Jan 1937 in Austin Township, Mecosta County, MI, married on 18 Jan 1872 in 
Branch County, MI to Melvina Hosmer.  John Jefferson was a veterinarian (V.S.).
